Vet Referrals

The perfect partnership for vets

We pride ourselves on forging strong relationships with all of the vets we work with. As a result, we have built trusting relationships with our referring clinics. This is important as it allows us to provide the very best care to your clients and their beloved pets.

We always assess the bespoke treatment needs of all patients, to ensure we can accommodate their unique specialist care needs. With this in mind, the best possible treatment plan is implemented following a thorough assessment.

For us, that’s one of the most crucial aspects of providing the highest level of care for each and every animal in need of our help.

Why Choose NRVS?

Better for your patients

Build a close relationship with your NRVS specialist and enjoy greater continuity of care, less stress on the patient and of course, greater convenience for the client.

Better for your Practice

Raise the profile of your clinic by offering new advanced specialty services, without having to invest in new equipment, staff, or marketing materials.

Better for your Bottom Line

Instead of referring cases out, you can create an entirely new revenue stream by keeping your advanced cases in-house. It’s a win-win-win.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! We are perfectly equipped with the very latest, veterinary specialty equipment. When we reach you, our surgeon and theatre nurse will have their own tools, instruments, implants, and consumables such as theatre attire, suture materials and other items required.

If you’re looking to schedule an appointment, we will need the following:

  1. Pre-op information form with signed consent from your client.
  2. For most surgeries, we require the use of your operating theatre.
  3. We require assistance from one nurse or vet at your hospital for anaesthesia.

Please note, NRVS does not provide or bill for ancillary services such as anaesthetic technical support, performing diagnostic tests including radiographs and/or lab work, or recovering patients post-operatively. These services and the ability to charge for them are reserved to our partner hospitals.

After completion of any procedure with a NRVS specialist, all patients then return to the care of your hospital with an attending primary clinician. A post operative treatment and management plan will be discussed with the referring vet. This will depend on a number of different post-procedure care requirements, including whether or not the animal needs continued monitoring, post surgery.

You can get started by following these simple steps:

  1. Schedule an introductory meet and greet session with your specialist, or dive right in and refer your first case
  2. Contact NRVS via phone or email to discuss your case
  3. If required, a pre-surgery consultation with the owner in person at your clinic or via phone will be scheduled
  4. Book the procedure for a reciprocally suitable date.

The billing process is quick and easy. An invoice will be emailed to you at the end of the procedure and full payment will be required at the time of service by EFT or credit card (portable EFTPOS machine is available)

We will help and guide you through every stage of the process, before, during and after the procedure. And, if you have any concerns in the meantime, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
